Z/Yen Limited, the fast-growing risk/reward management practice, is delighted to announce that it now has a base north of the border. Dr Kevin Parker has established an office in "Scotia's darling seat" (Edinburgh) just a few months after joining Z/Yen in October 1995. Kevin is an honorary Scot by education and marriage. He is a chartered chemist, a Ph.D and a Sloan Fellow of the London Business School. Despite the fact he sounds bright, he also referees rugby matches in his spare time.

Ian Harris, a director of Z/Yen, comments "we have been committed to establishing a presence in Scotland since Z/Yen formed 18 months ago. A Scottish base enables us to give a rapid response to our growing list of clients with major activities in Scotland (including Cancer Research UK, Broadcasting Support Services and the Ministry of Defence). Kevin is one of our most experienced managers and we are delighted that he is taking our Scottish practice forward."

Kevin, while blushing in the light of Ian's praise, explains "the Scottish business scene is so exciting at the moment. Z/Yen's risk/reward approach has an ideal mix of practical experience and intellectual rigour to help our clients to innovate and thrive. Further, Z/Yen is committed to sharing the risks and benefits of work with clients, often in the form of performance-related fees, and measuring work in quantitative or qualitative terms."

Z/Yen specialises in risk/reward management, an innovative approach to improving organisational performance. Z/Yen clients to date include blue chip companies in technology, broadcasting, banking, insurance, utilities, distribution, call centres and charities.
