Many Now&ZYen readers already know about Z/Yen's close links with the Gresham Society, not least the forthcoming partnership between the two entities to run The Lord Mayor’s Knowledge Miles webinar series during the 2023/2024 year.

"Knowledge Miles: The 695th Lord Mayor's Lecture Series" is an online webinar series that explores the connections of the Square Mile and its roles as "The World's Coffeehouse" addressing diverse global challenges.

Perhaps less well-known is that Z/Yen & The Gresham Society go back a long, long way. Indeed, in mid September they went all the way back to the 16th century, to look at Elizabethan tennis, drama and music in the regal atmosphere of Hampton Court Palace's Royal Tennis Court.

This potentially daft idea, which Professor Tim Connell was more than willing to blame on Z/Yen's Ian Harris if it all went horribly wrong, actually proved to be a great success. So naturally, it was all Tim Connell's idea.

For the time being, if you want to read all about the September event at Hampton Court, together with pictures and video clips, you need to click here and do so on Ian Harris's website, Ogblog. In the coming weeks, the Gresham Society website will be a repository of all former Gresham Society events as well as a conduit for The Lord Mayor’s Knowledge Miles webinar series.

Bookings for several dozen lectures in that forthcoming webinar series are already open - click here.
