Bookalympics - Origami Koi Tournament

A chance to win "gold" i.e. a £100 top prize, plus all shall have prizes.

Z/Yen has devised its own bookalympic event this summer to celebrate Michael and Ian's book "The Price of Fish" winning Gold in the IPPY Awards this year.

Price of Fish Cover w/ Medal & Border, Small

This bookalympic event is “The Origami Koi Tournament” for which you can win "gold" or more precisely a £100 top prize.

All you need in order to enter is:

  • A crisp $1 bill
  • Instructions for making an origami koi – downloadable or printable from priceoffish.info
  • A fair bit of time (note to parents – you might choose to outsource this activity to your children).

If you buy a copy of “The Price of Fish” through Z/Yen (please email hub@zyen.com), you will receive a crisp dollar bill and a set of origami koi instructions with your copy of the book.

Alternatively, if you submit proof of purchase (either a physical or Kindle purchase will do) to the same address, Z/Yen will still send you a crisp dollar bill and a set of instructions.

The game is, however, open to anyone – no purchase necessary. You may supply your own $1 bill and download the instructions, if you prefer.

Submit your origami koi attempt by post to the following address:
Z/Yen Group Limited
Origami Koi/Price of Fish Competition
4th Floor
90 Basinghall Street
London EC2V 5AY

Competition closes for entries Friday 14 September. The results will be published on our web site soon after that date.

The very best Origami Koi, in the opinion of the judges, whose decision is final, will win £100. And what is more, there are other “vast and valuable prizes” to be won – indeed all entries will receive a prize.
