There was dancing in the streets of Notting Hill Gate last week, as Z/Yen learnt that it had won its first competitive bid. the broadcasting industry client said that it had invited seven firms to tender for the business, but was impressed by Z/Yen’s quick response and strong credentials in the field.
The work will be carried out during October and November. It will be staffed by our West London and Iikley teams.
A Z/Yen commentator points out, "this establishes our position beyond all reasonable doubt as Britain’s number one supplier of risk-reward advice. We have a 100% success rate with competitive bids for this kind of work. Who else can honestly claim that?"
The Z/Yen dancing in the streets of the city of London on 14 November as Z/Yen companies now present a united front to the customs and Excise, following an early group registration. Miss Fitzmaurice, from the Newry VAT registration office, revealed all to Now and Z/Yen in an exclusive interview. "The forms came in together, in a large brown envelope. Everything was in order, so in accordance with VAT regulations I processed the forms."
The first return will be for the quarter to 31 December 1994, so that should give Z/Yen folk something to do during those long dark winter evenings in January.

Mobile telephony has arrived at Z/Yen – numbers available on request. Jokes about this writers ability (or lack thereof) to drive while yakking on the mobile are not even funny. Immobile telephony, including voicemail, should be on its way soon, with landlords-to-be kindly granting access to the property while their surveyors get their knickers in a twist over the legals.
Once office telephone numbers have been allocated, the business card run can commence. Orders for other forms of stationery should go in over the next few days, regardless.
Bank accounts now exist. they will be even more effective once they have some money in them.
John-of-that-Iikley has a fistful of hot leads in European Banks and Utilities about the place. High-level work based on risk-reward and/or business continuity look on the cards for several of these organisations. And after that… who knows?
