Z/Yen Goes To The Dogs

It was a beautiful night at the Catford Races, interrupted only by a rare sight in the hospitality suite. Table upon table of risk/reward managers clattering away on their portable computers and calculators, chattering about Monte Carlo simulations, delta-hedging, Gaussian and Cauchy distributions and trying to make a quick buck on a combination trio bet. Terrified, the Catford Dogs authorities considered closing the book on this sharp-suited crowd, only to realise after the first race or two that it was possible to extract easily as much cash from this bunch as from your average crowd of punters.

Rachele, Z/Yen’s very own racing expert, organised it all in inimitable style. This reporter caused great excitement amongst the team by picking the winner in the final race, a high risk transaction which nearly generated sufficient reward to enable him to give our “tote person” a modest tip for the evening. Under the watchful eye of Z/Yen’s bank manager (overseeing the potential for reinvestment of corporate profits) a great time was had by all.

Ideal Assignment For Z/Yen

Z/Yen is delighted to announce that it has been selected to undertake a human resources strategy with Ideal Hardware plc, the forward-looking, fast-growing computer distribution company which has been taking the computer hardware sector by storm in the past few years. The team includes Ian Harris, Lisa Thomas, Kevin Parker, Anne McConkey, Ghislaine de Give and Teresa Bestard. The current phase is focusing on rewards, but the assignment will cover all aspects of human resource management in an organisation which thrives on bright ideas and innovative solutions.

Z/Yen Takes The Voluntary Sector By Storm

Several recent wins in the voluntary sector add to Z/Yen’s enviable track record in the sector. The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) has chosen Z/Yen in competition to assist it with a prestigious assignment to consult throughout the sector in order to design appropriate quality standards. Ian Harris and Michael Mainelli will facilitate through papers and focus groups. The Children’s Society have also chosen Z/Yen in competition, in this case to undertake an IT strategy. Mike Smith will do most of the work. Barnardo’s have selected Z/Yen to design and implement a new governance framework for IT. Kevin Parker will play the leading role. This is all excellent news.
