The Z/Yen Group is delighted to announce that Linda Cook, who has been our Practice Manager since the last century (1999 to be precise), has been appointed a Director of Z/Yen Holdings Limited.

Linda has taken a metaphorical pickaxe to the metaphorical glass ceiling and smashed that ceiling to smithereens.

Now & Z/Yen wanted to show you a picture of the secret initiation ceremony which took place on the day of Linda's appointment, but we are unable to do so because, apparently, the secret initiation ceremony is... secret.

In any case, even if photographs were not prohibited, we are reliably informed that it would be utterly impossible to take a dignified photograph at that initiation ceremony.

There are rumours in the Z/Yen camp that Linda has become a little grumpy and aloof since her appointment to the Board, but Linda assures Now & Z/Yen that there is no veracity to such claims.

"That is fake news...sad," she said. "In any case," she continued, "my door is always open". That's probably because the metaphorical door, like the ceiling, was glass and has been smashed. Or because the actual Z/Yen office is open plan, as it has been since the beginning of time.
