Background: Perennial financial crises and scandals call for a change in culture. However, what is the role of science and ideology in shaping the modern institutions and education in the accounting and finance professions?  In this seminar, award-winning scholar, broadcaster and lecturer, Professor Atul K. Shah will share his latest findings based on thirty years of research. The book published by Routledge and available globally is called 'Inclusive and Sustainable Finance - Leadership, Ethics and Culture' .

Speaker:

Professor Atul Shah has a PhD from London School of Economics and has taught at various Universities including Bristol, Essex, Maryland, LSE and City. He has published a number of books and articles in high quality journals, and is pioneering in linking culture, diversity, leadership and finance, themes which are normally detached or avoided in finance research. He draws from ancient wisdom traditions to bring a new Organic Theory of Finance to help the planet deal with the sustainability crisis.  More details at www.atulkshah.co.uk
