Professor Michael Mainelli, Senior Alderman Below The Aldermanic Chair (SABTAC), invited the City of Zurich and all its Guilds to participate in the Lord Mayor’s Show 2023, together with other cities of the world who are important to the City of London. This call was answered enthusiastically by the Zurich Guilds, and we are very pleased to be present with nearly 200 delegates, in their traditional costumes in a colourful float in the Lord Mayor’s Show 2023. In the evening of Saturday, 11th November 2023, from 6.30pm, a sumptuous black-tie dinner will be held, livery-style, at the Plaisterers' Hall. The future Lord Mayor invited delegates from other World Cities, according to his theme “Connect To Prosper”. He will be present as well as the Vice President of the City of Zurich, and other dignitaries. We are delighted and honoured to invite friends from Livery Companies and those supporting the London-Zurich relationship with their partners to celebrate the new Lord Mayor, the cordial ties of friendship between our lovely Cities and their splendid future. There are around 50 places reserved for those of you who wish to join this unique, international London-Zurich event. Tickets will be available at a price of GBP 195 per Person, which includes a Champagne cocktail and a gorgeous traditional dinner with several courses with wine - and for those who register as long as there is space, the participation in our float (dress-code: Livery dress with gown or suit). At the dinner, high-ranked delegations of the City of London, the Vice President of the City of Zurich, together with delegations from the Zurich Guilds and dignitaries of World Cities will be present. We would be honoured to have you with us and to celebrate our closely related traditions of the Liveries and Guilds of our both Cities.
