The Future Of Fraud - An Interactive Discussion
Webclave - UK

Z/Yen is exploring how the risk environment for fraud may change over the next ten to twenty years, as well as what steps could be taken to change systems and processes to eliminate or ameliorate some frauds. The focus of our research is on fraud affecting individuals in the UK, particularly crimes which use social engineering techniques to achieve their ends, though we will cover some types of fraud affecting organisations and consider the international environment that leads to some frauds.

During the webclave we will discuss:

  • tools and techniques of fraudsters;
  • steps taken by authorities to counter fraud;
  • how changing Political, Economic, Societal, Technological, Environmental and Legal trends may drive fraud and counter-fraud over the next two decades;
  • suggestions on ways to eliminate or ameliorate fraud in the UK.
