Agenda

'Tomorrow's City' is a central theme of the 2013/14 City of London Mayoralty, in particular regarding the engineering, finance and risk management products required for cities around the world to meet the challenge of delivering resilient infrastructure for a planet of 10 billion people.

On 19 November, Lord Mayor Fiona Woolf will introduce Financing Tomorrow's Cities, a Long Finance London Accord project created by the City of London Corporation with support from Z/Yen Group. Financing Tomorrow's Cities aims to discuss and encourage innovative financing mechanisms for tomorrow's sustainable cities through shared research, a series of events and online discussions.

Lord Mayor Woolf's introduction will be followed by a panel discussion with senior representatives from the banking, legal, insurance, engineering, construction and policy sectors and chaired by Alderman Professor Michael Mainelli.

Note - this event was followed by the launch of Tomorrow's City at 17:00 at Mansion House. Tomorrow's City is a programme of events and dialogue with City and other leaders which will set out how the City can best ensure its future success as the 'City of Cities' by promoting and enabling long-term value creation, drawing on all the talent available.
