Background: YBS Share Plans’ Darren Smith will discuss the burning questions of the day with share plan expert guests on his virtual sofa. He will be asking colleague Bryony Padgett-Jones about the changes she has seen in employee share plan administration since the lock-down and finding out from VG’s Ross Crick and Tapestry’s Emma Parker, what the most prevalent questions in the current economic crisis are. (And their answers to those questions!)

Darren Smith has worked in the Share Plans industry for over 20 years. In this time he has worked on all the operational teams including management, relationship management and most recently business development. He is a regular industry host and speaker on topics including share plans and financial wellbeing, bringing a fun and engaging style to events.
Bryony Padgett-Jones has a wealth of administrator experience after working in a variety of roles for YBS Share Plans including: operational, client relationship management and most recently business development. Bryony has knowledge and experience in running and managing: all-employee (Sharesave & SIP), executive and international share plans.
Ross Crick is a Manager within VG’s wealth structuring team, responsible for a wide variety of corporate and private clients with a particular focus on managing VG’s employee incentives solutions. He is ACG qualified and has more than 18 years’ industry experience working with a broad cross-section of clients, ranging from FTSE 100 and 250 multinational companies to smaller private businesses.
Emma Parker specialises in all aspects of UK share plans, including advising on executive remuneration and UK tax-advantaged plans, the establishment of new share plans, plan rule drafting and reviewing the legal and tax aspects of plan awards. Emma also has significant experience in establishing and advising on overseas tax-qualified plans, working closely with overseas lawyers to operate tax-qualified plans in France, Spain, Israel, and the US among others. Her clients include Coca-Cola European Partners, Howdens and Hays. Emma has a broad corporate and employment tax background, having joined Tapestry from the tax team at Pinsent Masons.
