Human intelligence has developed over thousands of years. Meanwhile, AI, including deep learning algorithms, is the result of just a few decades of work and development. There is no doubt that this snowball cannot be stopped. Artificial intelligence already has a huge impact on key areas of the economy. It also raises a number of critical legal issues, including those relating to innovation and creativity, faced by states, regulators and competent authorities. During the webinar, the current legal approach on the issues concerning AI made inventions and AI created works in Europe will be presented as well as practical aspects of the impact of this phenomenon on running a business in various sectors of the EU economy.

Marek Oleksyn is a co-founder and partner at ROA Rasiewicz Oleksyn & Associates. He is a qualified Polish attorney-at-law.
Marek has almost two decades of experience in a broad range of intellectual property matters, including trademark, patent, design, unfair competition, copyright, domain names, plant variety, databases, and IP customs protection. Marek represents clients in court litigation, domain name disputes, and arbitration as well as trademark invalidation and revocation matters. He also prepares and negotiates agreements on IP/technology assignment and licensing, prepares opinions on IP-related and sector-specific regulatory matters, and drafts agreements with key personnel re: the assignment of intellectual property rights. He assists clients in R&D projects. Marek advises entities from various market sectors, including chemical, construction, IT, financial, automotive, FMCG, and luxury goods.
Marek is the author of numerous publications on the protection of intellectual property and advertising law. He lectures at Lazarski University in Warsaw.
